Strategic Management Practices and Performance of Parastatals in Kenya

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to help firms use strategy as an important tool helping both management and employees in control evaluation whether or not institution’s objectives are met.
 Design / Method Approach: researcher used exploratory design, data was collected through organised interviews via telephone gather everything that relevant for study. Qualitative thereafter analysed by finding out similarities differences among responses from different institutions conclusions made.
 Findings: findings indicate strategic practices useful predictor variables performance. composite R2 value .714 which indicates 71.4% variation performance parastatals Kenya a result practices. Of these practices, implementation had highest impact on least evaluation.
 Theoretical Implications: Strategic fit theory analyse each parastatal. then presented using descriptive approach illustrative quotes.
 Practical good with consumers reporting high levels satisfaction.
 Originality/Value: To achieve any organizational goals, parastatal needs plan, formulate implement. document encourage top practice it will have positive Kenya.
 Research Limitations Future Research: Like many research studies, small group 14 examined, were made basing this sample.
